The 2026 Cardinia Fun Run/Walk, held on Sunday the 1^st of March has once again proven the power of community, connection, and collective generosity. With 567 participants taking part, this year’s event was filled with energy, positivity, and a shared commitment to supporting our local community.

Participants enjoyed a variety of events on the day, including the 10km run, 5km run, 2.5km fun run filled with colourful racegoers, and the 5km walk. Each event brought its own spirit and excitement, with people of all ages and abilities getting involved and enjoying the experience in their own way.

Seeing so many people come together in support of their community is truly inspiring and a reminder of what’s possible when we work together.

Thanks to this collective effort, over $21,000 has been raised for the Cardinia Community Foundation through registrations, individual fundraising and on the day raffles. This is an incredible achievement, and what makes it even more meaningful is the lasting impact it will have. The funds raised will form a named fund, creating a legacy for Aligned Leisure in the Cardinia community. This fund will continue to support a wide range of local initiatives for years to come, ensuring the impact of this event extends well beyond a single day.

At the Foundation, our focus is on building a stronger, more connected community. We do this by supporting local organisations, responding to emerging needs, and helping create opportunities for individuals and groups to thrive. Events like the Cardinia Fun Run/Walk play a vital role in making this work possible by bringing people together while directly contributing to long-term community outcomes.
